San Francisco

I was in the San Francisco area last week for work. It was a good trip, but substantially too long. I was away from my family for 5 days and while it is sometimes nice to go sightseeing by myself, this trip carried no joy for me in that way.

I worked each of the full days that I was there and had no energy or desire to go up to SF proper to see Fisherman's Wharf or any other sites.

Guess I'll have them for another time.

Rider Pride

I have not written on the Riders for a while as I was unsure of their success. I still am unsure, but they lasted through some poor play and still founf a way to win. McCallum, hitting 6 for 6 in the last two games for field goals makes me more confident, but the nagging doubt still is there. I would sure be nice if they could win the Grey Cup for the province's Centennial, but I am not holding my breath.

Still, a good game, and a solid win. Nice to see that the two running backs that carried the load were up to the task and that the team was able to get a late touchdown on the ground to lock up the win.

Katrina

As with the Boxing Day Tsunami, words cannot adequately express what is happening in New Orleans in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. Hopefully, the situation with stabilize soon so that the people can get out of there and the real work of rebuilding a city of a half million can begin.
